I scored 'high risk' on the Type 2 Diabetes Risk Test. Do I have Prediabetes?

A high score on the online risk test means you’re at high risk for diabetes and prediabetes. A blood test will tell you for sure. You can check your blood glucose (blood sugar) levels from the comfort of your home with Healthyr’s HbA1c + Glucose test.

The good news is, when found out early, you can take steps to prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes with diet and lifestyle changes.

Test your HbA1c + Glucose levels today with our at-home test kit!

I scored 'low risk' on the Type 2 Diabetes Risk Test. Am I in the clear?

We are happy to hear you scored low on the assessment. It is important to note that online assessments do not offer the conclusive results a blood test can.

Your doctor might not test for diabetes during your yearly physical. If you are at risk for prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, you should ask your doctor to include the test and talk about the results. Or, you may want to consider other steps to monitor your health. Healthyr’s at-home test kits allow you to learn more about your blood glucose (blood sugar) level.

Understanding How Prediabetes Can Progress into Diabetes

If you have diabetes or prediabetes, the cells in your body don’t respond normally to insulin, which your body uses to process blood glucose (blood sugar). As a result, your pancreas works overtime, making more insulin to process your blood glucose. Over time, your pancreas can’t keep up with this extra work, and your blood glucose rises to higher levels than those without diabetes or prediabetes. This is called prediabetes at lower blood glucose levels, which may, over time, progress to higher blood glucose levels, called type 2 diabetes.

You may not have symptoms when you have prediabetes or diabetes. You can have prediabetes or diabetes for years and not know it. Many people don’t know they have diabetes until more serious health problems appear, so you should test your blood glucose levels.
